Osho Zen Tarot is a non-traditional deck of 79 cards based on the transcendental game of Zen. It is a very inspiring deck connecting onto your own spiritual journey. In the traditional Tarot, the basic expectation is to know what is the future going to be like, for example, what are the chances of my promotion, will I be able to settle abroad and so on.  Osho Zen Tarot is definitely not a traditional tarot in the sense that you play with prediction. Rather it is a transcendental game of Zen which mirrors the moment, unwaveringly presenting what is here, now, without judgment or comparison. This game is a wake-up call to tune in to sensitivity, intuition, compassion, receptivity, courage and individuality. This focus on awareness is one of the many innovations to the old systems and thinking of the tarot that will soon become obvious to experienced users as they begin to work with the Osho Zen Tarot.

The Osho Zen Tarot re-imagines the traditional tarot in a way that is positive and empowering, but without being too wishy-washy or nauseatingly upbeat. These cards emphasize being in the present moment and making the NOW your point of power. A unique aspect of the Osho Zen Tarot is its incredible ability to reveal the dysfunction of our minds and the ways in which our egos keep us prisoners – all the while making it possible to identify escape routes and solutions to our problems. Each card has one or two words on it which capture the essence of the card’s meaning.

Osho Zen Tarot is illustrated by Maa Devi Padma – a follower of Osho. Deva Padma (Susan Morgan) is an American-born artist. Through meeting Osho she discovered that “Creativity is my meditation.” Padma lived for many years within the Osho meditation community contributing her artistic talent. The creation of the artwork for this Tarot was accomplished over four years with Osho’s guidance and insight.
